Lyons Funeral Home is an independent family run business here in the lovely town of Westport.  Westport itself was known as Head of the Lake when first settled in 1828 but the name was changed to Westport to describe its location at the west end of the Rideau Lake in 1841.  Westport is a charming town that prides itself on taking care of each other.

Dale Lyons came to Westport in 1971 to work at the Goodfellow Funeral Home for one year.  He loved the town and the people in it and in 1984 was able to make the business his own then becoming Lyons Funeral Home.  Dale runs the business with his wife Lois by his side.  Dale is proud to have his son Greg as well as long time employee Kevin Kellington working as Directors.  All three directors are professional, caring individuals who are dedicated to continuing the legacy of making Westport a family centered, well respected town.  There is a director available 24 hours a day 7 days a week from Lyons Funeral Home.
